# The DA says Ekurhuleni’s failure to pay over 140-million-rand to chemical toilet service providers has created a growing sanitation and health crisis in more than 120 informal settlements. Some areas have been without clean toilets since November last year, after contracts were terminated without proper replacements. The DA’s Refiloe Nt’sekhe says the party has uncovered alleged fraud, with toilets being rotated between sites to give a false impression of service delivery:
