# The DA will soon announce a replacement for former Trade deputy minister Andrew Whitfield. President Cyril Ramaphosa fired Whitfield for violating executive rules by traveling to the United States without presidential permission. Ramaphosa says the regulations were clearly outlined during the 7th administration’s induction. Although the DA is outraged by the decision, party leader John Steenhuisen confirms a new appointee will be revealed soon:
