# The DA in Gauteng have criticised Rand Water for leaving thousands of residents in Soweto, Roodepoort, Deep South, and Mogale City without water due to ongoing maintenance. More maintenance is planned for the end of this month that also affects large parts of Tshwane. The DA’s Nico de Jager has criticised the silence of municipal leaders and failure to maintain infrastructure. He calls for accountability on this ongoing crisis as no alternative supply plans are in place:
