# The DA in Gauteng has condemned the lack of hot water supply at nine hospitals as winter sets in. Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko confirmed ongoing issues since May due to leaking pipes and broken boilers. DA Gauteng Health spokesperson, Jack Bloom called the situation inexcusable, citing patient complaints from more hospitals. He says that despite the department allocating 100-million-rand for equipment upgrades, proper spending and maintenance are urgently needed:
