# The DA in the National Council of Provinces is demanding an urgent oversight into the state of outdated technology infrastructure crippling policing in KwaZulu-Natal. The party’s Mzamo Billy says many rural police stations still rely on legacy satellite systems, the radio communication system remains analogue, and the 10111 emergency call centres are running on obsolete telephone systems. He says these shocking deficiencies in technology infrastructure are unsuitable for modern policing needs:
