# The DA in Gauteng is calling for urgent government intervention to end the deadly conflict between taxi and e-hailing drivers, which has claimed at least 60 lives since April. The party urges premier Panyaza Lesufi and Transport MEC Kedibone Diale Tlabela to work with the national government to enforce regulations and prevent further violence. The DA’s Nicole van Dyk says commuters’ safety and choice of transport are being undermined by the ongoing conflict:
