# The DA in Ekurhuleni says it is unacceptable and outrageous that suspended Ekurhuleni Metro Police deputy chief, Julius Mkhwanazi has earned 1.2-million-rand in salary while he sits in a cell awaiting criminal justice. The party’s Khathutshelo Rasilingwane says this was revealed by the provincial Infrastructure Development and Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC, Jacob Mamabolo. She says Mkhwanazi has been arrested five times, on five charges, and has not been granted bail:
