# The DA says it objects to the South African National Defence Force’s continued sidelining of Parliament’s oversight by failing to deliver timeous reporting and accounting on the reasons, location, personnel, and expenditure of three deployments. The Joint Standing Committee on Defence has considered three SANDF deployments worth almost 111-million-rand of taxpayer money. The DA’s Chris Hattingh says it can never be acceptable for military deployments to be made or to continue without Parliamentary oversight:
