The visit follows premier Panyaza Lesufi’s unfulfilled promise to electrify the area by March 2024. The DA says the Gauteng Provincial Government has also ignored recommendations from the National Council of Provinces after a petition was tabled to address the long-standing power crisis in Emfuleni.
