DA Gauteng slams slow internet rollout in Gauteng schools [SOUND]

# The DA in Gauteng says 87-percent of the province’s public schools remain disconnected from the internet as only 260 out of two-thousand-and-59 schools are linked to the Gauteng Broadband Network. The DA’s Michael Waters, says this leaves millions of learners behind creating a lost generation. Waters calls on Gauteng premier Panyaza Lesufi, Education MEC Matome Chiloane, and e-Governance MEC Bonginkosi Dhlamini, to urgently prioritise school connectivity to bridge the digital divide.
