# The DA in Gauteng has rejected the budget votes for the departments of Health, Infrastructure Development, Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, e-Government, and Human Settlements. The party says these budgets will not improve the lives of the residents under the leadership of premier Panyaza Lesufi. The DA’s Nico de Jager says the Infrastructure Department has been riddled by mismanagement, but still receives a budget of 3.6-billion-rand. The party’s Jack Bloom says the Health Department needs to implement cost containment measures, enhance contract management and realise efficiency gains.
