DA Gauteng demands a designated MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture [SOUND]

# The DA in Gauteng says it is against the appointment of Education MEC Matome Chiloane to oversee the Department of Sport, Arts, Culture, and Recreation as well. The Auditor General’s 2024/2025 findings show that the Department of Sports, Arts, Culture, and Recreation achieved 62-percent of its planned targets despite spending 91-percent of its budget. The DA’s Kingsol Chabalala says the department needs a dedicated MEC who will be able to prioritise programmes and effectively address the needs of residents:
