# The DA in Gauteng is demanding robust disciplinary measures to curb poor performance that harms patients. This comes as incidents of harmed patients have risen in provincial public hospitals, which have recorded seven-thousand-386 serious adverse events last year, up from seven-thousand-117 the previous year. Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital has the highest number, with one-thousand-257 incidents, followed by George Mukhari and Steve Biko hospitals.
