# The DA is demanding that the Defence and Military Veterans minister, Angie Motshekga, appoint the permanent director-general of the Department of Military Veterans, with immediate effect. The position, which was left vacant after the resignation of Irene Mpolweni, was advertised last year. However, to date, the post is yet to be filled.
