DA concerned by the City of Joburg defaulting on payments to City Power [SOUND]

# The DA says it will probe why the City of Johannesburg continues to default on payments to City Power, allegedly leading to the power utility’s inability to pay its contractors on time. The metro owes City Power two-billion-rand in terms of short payments. The DA’s Tyrell Meyers says they will submit a Promotion of Access to Information Act request to determine why there is such a hold-up in payments, and to determine how many contractors are owed:
