DA calls on minister Simelane to place Housing Finance CEO on precautionary leave [SOUND]

# The DA has welcomed the Public Protector’s decision to investigate serious allegations of financial mismanagement against the National Housing Finance Corporation CEO, Azola Meyekiso. This follows a complaint the party lodged last year with the Public Service Commission. The DA’s, Luyolo Mphithi, says allowing the CEO to remain in office while these serious allegations are being probed risks undermining the integrity of the investigation. He says Human Settlements minister, Thembisile Simelane, must immediately place Meyekiso on precautionary leave:
