# The DA says it cannot support City of Tshwane’s 800-million-rand overdraft facility, as the metro does not have a funded budget or a credible funding plan. The metro’s overdraft facility was recently increased from 600-million-rand to 800-million-rand. The DA caucus leader in Tshwane, Cilliers Brink, says that missing the funding plan targets from October 2024 to June this year, the metro ended the previous financial year with an effective deficit of 857-million-rand:
