# The Congress of South African Trade Unions has rejected the DA’s call for the scrapping of Broad-Based Black Empowerment, saying the objectives of the policy are sacrosanct. The DA is looking to introduce the Economic Inclusion for All Bill, which seeks to amend the Public Procurement Amendment Act of 2024, to repeal all race-based preferential procurement provisions. Cosatu’s spokesperson, Matthew Parks, says transformation legislations will continue to be critical tools to overcoming the entrenched levels of poverty and inequality:
