# Union federation COSATU in Gauteng is calling for urgent action against illegal firearms, organised crime and illegal mining-related violence in the West Rand. This comes after 18 people were shot dead at a tavern in Wedela, Carletonville, on Saturday evening. No arrests have been made yet.
