# Corruption Watch welcomed the Protected Disclosures Bill aimed at strengthening whistle-blower protections. The organisation says the bill, guided by recommendations from the Zondo commission on state capture, aims to close gaps in current laws and expand protection beyond traditional employment. The watchdog’s Nkululeko Conco says several areas still need clarity, including oversight mechanisms and the limited scope of protection, particularly for disclosures to the media:
