# The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa, Contralesa, has warned initiation school owners against enrolling young boys without parental consent. Contralesa president Lameck Mokoena says some boys are being abducted, ill-treated and taken to unregistered initiation schools. He has urged parents to report such incidents to police and avoid illegal schools charging excessive fees. He emphasised that Contralesa strongly condemns the abuse of cultural practices and warns that anyone found violating the law in the name of tradition will face severe consequences.
