ConCourt rules parents share four months, ten days parental leave [SOUND]

# The Constitutional Court has ruled in favour of fathers stating that parental leave of four-months and ten-days must be shared between parents following the birth of a child. Justice Laura Lumka Tshiqi delivered the landmark judgment, saying caregiving should not be limited to mothers, as fathers can also be primary caregivers. She ruled that biological mothers will retain preference for recovery, but parents may now split leave as they choose:
