# City Power has welcomed the possibility that by the end of this month, it could be sitting at more than 100-million-rand in collected debt. City Power’s Hursthill Service Delivery Centre Manager, Malcolm de Lange, says the utility is currently owed a staggering 1.6-billion-rand from residentials and businesses. He says every rand that City Power recovers, goes directly towards maintaining and upgrading the power entity’s infrastructure, improving network reliability, and ensuring that it can continue delivering quality electricity services to the people of Johannesburg.
