# The City of Tshwane says it stands united in its commitment to a safe, lawful and well-governed metro. In a joint operation in Winterveld, officials arrested 12 suspects, nine for being in the country illegally. Simultaneously in Hammanskraal, 62 Aarto infringement notices were issued to motorists. Furthermore, patrol officers intercepted two vehicles transporting 53 Zimbabwean nationals who were found to be in the country illegally. Mayoral committee member for Community Safety, Hannes Coetzee, says they will not tolerate lawlessness:
