City of Tshwane, Metro police and AWARE.org sign pact to curb drunk driving

# The City of Tshwane and Tshwane Metro Police Department have signed a five-year agreement with AWARE.org to reduce drunk driving. The pact will focus on awareness, road safety education, and legal breathalyser testing. AWARE.org CEO Mokebe Thulo says the partnership aims to cut alcohol-related harm through education and enforcement. Traffic Department chief, Yolande Faro, says it supports safer roads and communities. The initiative includes roadblocks, data sharing, and joint campaigns as part of a national alcohol harm reduction strategy.
