# The City of Johannesburg has unveiled its programme for October Transport Month, focusing on road safety, green transport, accessibility and digital innovation. The month-long programme includes road safety campaigns, vehicle and driver fitness checks, and initiatives to improve commuter services. Metrobus will also showcase its transition to electric buses, with test rides planned for commuters. The city will train public transport workers to assist visually impaired passengers and improve accessibility. The month will end with Driver Appreciation Day on 31 October.
