# The City of Ekurhuleni has welcomed 100 Community Safety Marshals in Germiston. Contracted from March to June 2025, they will tackle gender-based violence, substance abuse, and school safety while aiding in data collection. Mayoral committee member for Community Safety, Sizakele Masuku, emphasised the importance of community collaboration in fighting crime. She highlighted that the initiative not only enhances safety but also equips marshals with skills for future careers in law enforcement and community development.
