# The City of Cape Town is piloting a new early childhood development programme aimed at fighting child abuse and neglect. More than 100 children and early childhood development workers took part in activities in Tafelsig and Wynberg. Mayoral committee member for Community Services and Health, Francine Higham, says protecting vulnerable children is a shared duty, and more sessions are planned for the future:
