City of Cape Town looking at ways to manage travel demand [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate says it is busy revising its Travel Demand Management Strategy. This is a collection of programmes, techniques and policies aimed at influencing the travel choices people make. Mayoral committee member for Urban Mobility, Rob Quintas, says the strategy has three broad goals, namely to encourage people to shift to public transport services, to walk or cycle where possible, and to reduce the need for travelling by working remotely:
