# The Gauteng Department of Health says cryotherapy services have resumed at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital after the supply of liquid nitrogen was restored. The three-month disruption delayed treatment for about 720 patients with certain skin conditions, including some skin cancers. The department’s Steve Mabona says the hospital is now prioritising patients whose treatment was delayed while working to ensure uninterrupted services in future:
