# The National Director of Public Prosecutions has provisionally withdrawn criminal charges against the head of Crime Intelligence Dumisani Khumalo, the head of the police’s Crime Intelligence Technical Support Services, Dineo Mokwele and their co-accused. The decision follows representations made by the accused and advice from the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption that further investigation is needed before a final decision can be made. The NDPP has directed the matter cannot be re-enrolled or fresh charges brought without written approval.
