CEPPWAWU welcomes landmark Labour Court victory for 24 dismissed workers at Hoya Lens SA [SOUND]

# The Chemical, Energy, Paper, Printing, Wood, and Allied Workers Union has secured a major legal victory in a long-standing labour dispute involving 24 of its members employed by Hoya Lens South Africa Limited. The dispute originates from the unfair dismissal of 24 workers in August 2020. CEPPWAWU’s Glen Tshabalala says the Labour Court has found the company guilty of contempt of court for failing to comply with the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration order for the reinstatement of the workers:
