# Taxi organisations CATA and CODETA have pledged to end long-standing violence over route disputes in Cape Town. The two organisations met at the Nyanga taxi rank. CODETA chairperson Nceba Enge says the agreement reflects a serious commitment to peace, while CATA chairperson Nkululeko Sityebi stressed differences must be resolved through dialogue and not violence. The feud has led to deadly shootings in areas including Nyanga, Delft, Lwandle and Khayelitsha.
