Capetonians called to embrace the water meter programme initiative

# The City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Directorate is encouraging residents to embrace the water meter programme initiative, as it empowers property owners to track their water consumption more effectively. Since 2023, the directorate has invested 131-million-rand to replace and relocate 42-thousand-949 water meters at business and residential properties across the metro. Mayoral committee member for Water and Sanitation, Zahid Badroodien, says the programme plays an important part in ensuring that residents are billed using actual readings.
