Cape Town urges national government to fund Dial-a-Ride service for people with disabilities

# The City of Cape Town has made a public appeal to Social Development minister Sisisi Tolashe to provide funding and support for its Dial-a-Ride service for people with disabilities. The service, carrying around two-thousand-200 users a month, faces a budget shortfall of nearly one-million-rand per month. Mayoral committee member for Urban Mobility, Rob Quintas says the service cannot continue without national support, as it helps users reach work, medical care, and essential services.
