# Cape Town mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis has condemned a series of taxi-related shootings in Delft, Khayelitsha, Mfuleni and Gugulethu since yesterday. Metro police and the South African Police Service have responded to several incidents. The city is also urging anyone with information about the shootings to report it anonymously through its tip-for-reward line. Hill-Lewis has called on taxi industry leaders to help end the violence and restore calm:
