Cape Town has a zero-tolerance approach to illegal street racing [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town warns that illegal street racers will face the full extent of the law. Traffic Services conducted an illegal street racing operation in Mitchells Plain over the weekend, resulting in the arrest of three people and their vehicles being impounded. Mayoral committee member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, says an impoundment linked only to a by-law transgression can be released immediately once the applicable fee of two-thousand-500-rand has been paid:
