# Cape Town law enforcement, alongside the South African National Defence Force and SAPS, confiscated numerous firearms and ammunition in Crossroads, shut down a suspected chop shop in Philippi East, and recovered a hijacked city vehicle in Mandela Park. Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, says officers arrested 235 people, issued 10-thousand-257 fines, and impounded 114 public transport vehicles. He added that traffic teams also recorded 47-thousand-336 offences and executed 902 warrants of arrest.
