Cape Town boosts winter support for 10 shelters for homeless [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town’s Department of Community, Arts and Culture Development will provide goods and services valued at 1.2-million-rand to ten shelters this winter to help them cope with the increased demand for their services. The one-million-rand budget will go towards acquiring and distributing essentials like blankets, mattresses, food items, hygiene items and cleaning aids to qualifying shelters.
