# Athletics: Akani Simbine seems to be the man to beat this season after he had won the 100 metre sprint at the second Diamond League meeting in Keqiao near Shangai in China yesterday. In a thrilling finish in 9.98 seconds he beat Jamacian Olympic silver medallist Kishane Thompson by 0,01 seconds. Letsile Tebogo from Botswana was third in 10,03 seconds. Thompson was faster out of the blocks, but Simbine managed to overtake him towards the end. Simbine won the opener Diamond League meeting last week in China in a time of 9,99 seconds.
