# The ANC has welcomed the clarification by Trade, Industry and Competition minister Parks Tau, regarding the recently published Draft National Credit Regulations. Spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu says the ANC noted with appreciation the minister’s assurance that the proposed regulations are not intended to prejudice students indebted to institutions of higher learning, but rather to strengthen access to finance for micro, small and medium enterprises, township economies, women and historically marginalised communities:
