# The ANC says it remains committed to the success of the government of national unity and will continue to work with all willing partners in advancing the values of the Constitution. The DA leader John Steenhuisen earlier announced that the party will not participate in the National Dialogue after president Cyril Ramaphosa axed the deputy minister of Trade, Industry and Competition Andrew Whitfield. ANC spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu says it is rather surprising that the DA has chosen not to support the National Dialogue:
