# The ANC in Ekurhuleni Region has expelled three councillors, Thato Mashiane, Thembinkosi Lubisi and Sibusiso Dlamini, and terminated their party membership with immediate effect. Acting Regional Secretary, Moipone Mhlongo says the councillors were found to have engaged in conduct that the organisation says violated Rule 25 of the ANC Constitution. She says the alleged violations include supporting or joining political organisations contesting elections against the ANC’s officially endorsed mandate and campaigning for or acting as agents of organisations opposing ANC-endorsed candidates:
