# ActionSA in Tshwane has welcomed the metro’s significant strides in strengthening political oversight and processes to ensure that the concerns flagged by the Auditor-General are addressed decisively. The metro has completed 11.7-billion-rand of unauthorised, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure investigations from an opening balance of 13-billion-rand. ActionSA’s Henriette Frohlich says while Tshwane’s control environment remains weak, interventions are starting to bear fruit:
