# ActionSA has welcomed the decision by the South African Human Rights Commission to take Sports, Arts and Culture minister Gayton McKenzie to court. This is over old tweets deemed to be racist and in violation of the Equality Act. The minister has denied the allegations, claiming his tweets were anti-racist and accusing the SAHRC of defamation. ActionSA’s Alan Beesley says the minister’s actions undermine national diversity, and he must be held accountable:
