# ActionSA in KwaZulu-Natal voted against eThekwini Municipality’s recommendation to write off unauthorised, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure amounting to over one-billion-rand. During a council meeting yesterday, the provincial government of national unity voted in favour of the recommendation, which was passed. ActionSA’s Sanelisiwe Zuma says the council also bizarrely resolved not to hold any official accountable for the expenditure. Zuma adds that the municipality is run by a shaky coalition of the ANC, IFP, EFF, and NFP.
