ActionSA hands Ramaphosa bill to slash cabinet following request

# ActionSA has submitted its Amendment Bill to the Constitution directly to president Cyril Ramaphosa at his request. The bill aims to cut unnecessary deputy minister positions and give Parliament more oversight over the executive. The party claims deputy ministers add little value and mainly serve as political appointments. ActionSA’s Athol Trollip says their proposals could save taxpayers 1.5-billion-rand a year, calling for transparency and accountability in Cabinet spending.
