# ActionSA has condemned the growing presence of illegal foreign nationals exploiting Mpumalanga’s mining sector. This follows a recent incident in which 16 illegal foreigners were arrested near Waterval Boven with gold-bearing material and mining equipment. Meanwhile, six others were also arrested in Barberton with explosives used by criminal syndicates. ActionSA’s Thoko Mashiane calls for immediate deportations and stronger border security:
