# President Cyril Ramaphosa will this evening address the nation on the government’s management approach to illegal migration and the recent surge in protests against foreign nationals. Anti-immigration organisers threatened to initiate a nationwide shutdown if the government failed to remove undocumented foreigners. The organisers had set a deadline of June 30 for undocumented immigrants to leave the country. During the Cabinet media briefing on Friday, Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni indicated there will be no shutdown as anti-illegal immigration protests continue in the country.
