# Olympic Games: Casey Wasserman says he is not planning on resigning as chairperson of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Earlier this year, LA mayor Karen Bass called on him to resign given his past ties with Jeffrey Epstein’s confidant, Ghislaine Maxwell. Wasserman has previously stated his 2003 email exchanges with Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for trafficking underage girls for Epstein, took place before her crimes were known. He says he and Bass have a shared vision on delivering the greatest Games.

One British pound costs 21-rand-94-cents and Bitcoin trades at 61-thousand-932-dollars. Gold sells at four-thousand-422-dollars-64-cents a fine ounce and Brent crude oil is quoted at 93-dollars-76-cents a barrel.
# And finally, FIFA has announced the release of FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, a new football video game that will debut on Netflix Games on June 11, alongside the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Available exclusively to Netflix subscribers at no extra cost, the game allows players to choose from all 48 participating nations and compete across 16 tournament stadiums. FIFA says the launch forms part of a broader gaming strategy following its split from EA Sports, aimed at expanding fan engagement worldwide.
